WWE: Is Dolph Ziggler Ready to Break out or Does He Need More Seasoning?

Is he ready? Can he wrestle? Can he help carry the team? And most importantly, can he sell and draw ratings?

The answers to all these questions are a resounding, YES!

It's Dolph Ziggler's time.

While others have been in the spotlight for years (John Cena, CM Punk, Randy Orton), it is now time to introduce the WWE Universe to new and exciting world champions. I am not saying the likes of Cena and Punk aren't exciting, but it is time for there to be more wrestlers fighting for the company's top draw.

And Ziggler has been working on his "A" game in all facets of the company to assume that role. Yes, he is ready, yes, he is hungry and yes, it is perfect for him to make the leap now.

The reason for the move now? That is quite simple. John Laurinaitis and Chris Jericho.

It sounds a little odd, but yes those two men are there to "help" Ziggler, the former United States Champion, get over, get the push and lead the way. While CM Punk is still the hottest in the company, I think Ziggler can be equally successful in the heel role. He is charismatic, a great in-ring performer and he has something most wrestlers right now don't have: a manager.

The stable Vickie Guerrero has put into place is great for Ziggler's success because much like former and current stables, wrestlers protect the champion. But it also sets up nicely. Laurinaitis helps Ziggler beat Punk for the title and in time, maybe Jericho challenges Ziggler for the WWE Title or Punk wins the title back only have to face Jericho.

When it comes to the "second tier" of wrestlers right now in the company, Ziggler, Daniel Bryan, Zack Ryder and Cody Rhodes are making the leap. Hopefully, we will see Rhodes challenge for a world title and Ryder will be a champion in time. The best thing about that is Ziggler will set the bar with his athleticism and style before anyone else.

And the fans should buy into it.

Because whether they like it or not, Ziggler's time is now.
