Gini In a Bottle? Mr. Aston Villa Needs to Get it Right Or Sell the Browns!

I'm back!

After taking a two-week break to watch the playoffs and listen to all the nonsense of the Browns seriously considering Eric Mangini as head coach, I gotta say it is time to either storm Berea or boycott the team for turning this once proud franchise into the NFL's running punchline of incompetence.  

Seeing the various reports from ESPN and the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Browns part-time owner, Randy Lerner has settled for the Jet's sloppy seconds in little E and Baltimore director of pro player personnel George Kokinis.

And if the Plain Dealer is correct in that Lerner is obsessed with the "Belichick Tree," I think Mr Aston Villa had better go piss in another forest and stop acting like he's Johnny Appleseed, because the Belichick Tree tends to rot and wilt outside of Foxboro.  

As a lifelong Browns fan, I hate Art Modell for taking my original team(which won in Miami today) and giving me this second-rate clown outfit that I have had to watch all year make an embarrassment of itself not only in the regular season but by it's current actions of having it's chain yanked by both Bill Cowher and Scott Pioli, But poor little rich boy Randy makes Art look like George Halas! 

That sound you hear is the cowher09.com website shutting down permanently and while getting Bill Cowher to coach the Browns was the collective wet dream of every Browns fan from Cleveland to Fiji, once again Pittsburgh not only foils Cleveland once again but utterly owns it.   

If I'm a Browns fan right now you have to be wondering George Kokinis who?  I don't care if he worked as a usher at the old Stadium, what makes him qualified to be a GM?

I know that Mangini got a raw deal with drama king, Brett throwing picks like Derek Anderson but the fact of the matter remains that the Jets were 8-3 and dreaming of a Super Bowl and Mangini got canned because he could motivate a marching band of ants, let along grown men. 

My main burn is on this clueless rich boy that owns OUR team(or at least trys to) and yet spends too much time in jolly ol' England eating crimpets and cheering his coveted Lions to the top four of the English Premier table and while he is making a effort in trying to get the right match in coach and GM, let me make a small suggestion:

Hire a President, then hire a GM, and finally a coach!  

All the pressure is on Lerner at this point because if Browns fans feel that this is "Groundhog Day" as first mentioned on every Browns forum, then I suggest Lerner get this right or sell the team to a REAL owner who will invest not only his money and undivided attention on the Cleveland Browns but will be more competent in hiring the right personnel. 

And Lerner can go move to England and watch his Lions as much as he wishes.
