WWE News: Huge Update on Ric Flair Appearing at the Hall of Fame Ceremony

Imaan JalaliJan 12, 2012

The last time we saw Ric Flair, the WWE superstar, was the night after WrestleMania 24 when he tearfully "retired" into the sunset.

Yet, as revealed on this past Monday's Raw, the Four Horsemen—Tully Blanchard, Barry Windham, Arn Anderson and Ric Flair—were announced as inductees for the 2012 Hall of Fame.

Ric Flair's inclusion, in particular, has raised many eyebrows given the fact "The Nature Boy" is currently an employee of TNA wrestling.

According to a video posted by WrestleZone.com, though, Ric Flair himself confirms he will be present at the American Airlines Arena the night before WrestleMania 28.

Did the WWE work out a deal with TNA so that the 16-time world heavyweight champion could make a one-night appearance?

If such a deal wasn't hashed out, is Ric Flair taking it upon himself to take the calculated risk of showing up for the special occasion?

Assuming an understanding wasn't reached between the two companies, it's possible that TNA star Ric Flair being shown on WWE TV will have legal ramifications.

On the other hand, could this be the start of a talent exchange program between the WWE and TNA?

Perhaps Vince McMahon has a controlling interest in TNA—like he did with ECW—and we just don't know it yet.

Nonetheless, all possible consequences aside, it will be exciting to see the "Nature Boy" Ric Flair on WWE TV even if it's only for a few minutes.
