WWE News: WWE Finalizing Deal to Host WrestleMania 29 or 30 at MetLife Stadium?

It has been a long tradition for the WWE to host each 10-year aniversary of WrestleMania at Madison Square Garden.

WrestleMania, WrestleMania X and Wrestlemania XX were all held at the world's most famous arena, but things may change for the 30th anniversary. 

Here is an excerpt from a report that explains how the WWE is finalizing a deal to hold the big event at MetLife Stadium at the Meadowlands in 2013.

"

Pop the Crowd is reporting that Triple H and other WWE officials were in East Rutherford yesterday finalizing a deal that will bring WrestleMania back to New Jersey. More specifically, either WrestleMania 29 or WrestleMania 30 to MetLife Stadium.

"From a very reliable source, word coming out of the Giants organization yesterday was that Triple H was in town with WWE Officials to finalize a deal to bring WrestleMania 29 (or possibly 30) to MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ."

Previously, Madison Square Garden in Manhattan and Trump Plaza in Atlantic City have been home to several WrestleMania events, but never a football stadium in either of the two states. And most certainly never an outside venue during the tail end of winter.

MetLife Stadium is already slated to be the home of Super Bowl XLVIII in February 2014, so why not add WrestleMania 29 or WrestleMania 30 in either March of 2013 or March of 2014?

This would make sense as Triple H was spotted at New York Giants practice this week. It seems a bit out of the ordinary to just show up for an isolated incident. It would be amazing to hold WrestleMania 29 or 30 in the tristate area.

The arena has just been built. If WrestleMania 29 was held at MetLife Stadium, the WWE would beat the NFL to the punch of hosting a big event there. Everyone is aware that the stadium is already hosting Super Bowl XLVIII. This decision would follow the WWE's trend of hosting WrestleMania in large venues.
