WWE News: Watch Brodus Clay's Interview Following His Debut on Raw Super Show
The reviews were definitely mixed after the debut of the big Funkasaurus, Brodus Clay, as he defeated Curt Hawkins with relative ease on Monday Night Raw Super Show.
In an article I posted during the show Monday, there were several comments about the new gimmick being awful, and even going so far to say it was punishment for when he revealed that he was going to beat down John Morrison before his contract ended with the WWE.
While some didn’t like the persona, there were the same amount of people that thoroughly enjoyed the actions of Clay during his debut that included backup dancers and the Funkasaurus talking with the fans on the front row at ringside.

The interviewer asked Clay during a photo shoot in the video if he shocked the WWE Universe, which he answered with a resounding yes as he claimed no one was expected to see what they saw Monday night in Corpus Christi.
You can add me to that list of people who were shocked as Clay made his long-awaited debut three days ago.
In his last question during the interview, he asks if people won’t take Clay seriously during matches due to his dancing and his laid back personality, but with the size of the man from Planet Funk, I would hope people don’t look past him when they have a match with him in the future.
After seeing this interview combined with his debut on Raw, I think Brodus Clay will be a solid performer for the WWE.
Will he be a WWE Champion later in his career? He probably won’t.
With a gimmick that oozes fun, I can definitely see Clay becoming a fan favorite with the crowds at events.
Now that Raw is far in the rearview mirror, what do you Bleachers think of Brodus Clay and his gimmick as a superstar after a few days to let the new persona for the big man sink in since Monday night?
