Baltimore Ravens Looking Super, Kerry Collins Experiencing Deja Vu
Kerry Collins led a Giants team that thought it was pretty good to the Super Bowl after the 2000 season. He was the toast of the town. The redemption story. The guy everyone wanted to talk to.
Then he stepped on the field.
The Ravens' defense absolutely destroyed Collins and the Giants. They actually shut out the Giants’ offense, only allowing points on special teams.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Kerry Collins still sees Baltimore Ravens’ defenders whenever he’s brave enough to close his eyes.
Imagine his horror as he watched the Baltimore Ravens’ defense dismantle the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
Of all the teams that could have come into Tennessee, why the Baltimore Ravens?
The Ravens are looking absolutely Super right now. Their defense may not be as good as the 2000 version, but it’s pretty good in its own right.
Their offense is a clone of the 2000 offense, except for a key position: quarterback. Joe Flacco is a rookie, but he’s also far more capable than Trent Dilfer.
I’ve always believed that Dilfers’ 2000 season was underrated. He was a good quarterback. He did some good things when he had to.
But Flacco is already three times the quarterback Trent Dilfer ever dreamed of being.
He didn’t do much against the Dolphins, but he didn’t have to. We’ve seen enough this season to know that, if the Ravens need it, he can bring it.
That’s something the 2000 Ravens didn’t have.
For those of you who don’t yet believe, ask yourself this: how are the Titans going to score points against this defense?
You can’t run on them. If you try to pass, they’ll either sack you or intercept you. It takes a special offense to put up big points against this defense.
Is there a special offense left in the AFC right now? Maybe the Chargers? Maybe?
Certainly not the Titans. Or the Steelers for that matter, especially considering Roethlisberger was knocked stupid last week.
The Baltimore Ravens are looking like the best team in the AFC right now. And Kerry Collins knows what happens when that defense is firing on all cylinders in the playoffs.
It's Deja Vu for Kerry Collins, which isn't good news for the Titans.
