What They're Saying

Farrell Evans of ESPN believes that Steve Stricker will continue his hot start to the 2012 season and win his second tournament in Hawaii.

"

Every few years a player in his 40s takes on the kids and shows them how to play proper golf. Vijay Singh was once the king of this mountain. Then it was Kenny Perry for a while. Now it's 44-year-old Stricker, who probably will win his second event in a row this week after taking the season-opening Hyundai Tournament of Champions. Yet I wouldn't be surprised to see him on Sunday afternoon in a playoff with Webb Simpson.

Golfer to Watch

Webb Simpson. He won on tour last year, so we know that it can be done. Still, he's fallen short on a few other occasions, unable to close the tournament out. Last week's Hyundai Tournament of Champions followed that road.

It will be really interesting to watch him this year. Simpson is a good golfer, but can take a step towards being a great one with a win here. A strong early season would bode well for a good year, as the later season events were far more favorable to Simpson a year ago.

Prediction: Zach Johnson

Johnson has won here before and when he gets his putter going, can win on any course in the world. Winners of this tournament are not traditionally long hitters, but those who can do it on the green. That's right up Johnson's alley.
