Mayweather vs. Pacquiao: Why Money Is Ducking Pac-Man Despite Twitter Tough Talk
If you believe Floyd Mayweather on Twitter, then it's pretty clear that he wants Manny Pacquiao and wants him on May 5.
In case you haven't read what he said, check it out.

It looks good, right? It does, but there's more to this than meets the eye. In Pacquiao's last fight against Juan Manuel Marquez, he survived 12 brutal rounds to come away with a controversial decision.
But Pacquiao also sustained a nasty cut in that fight that may or may not be healed by May 5. Of course, Mayweather will be going to jail in June, so he needs his next fight to be before then. But that doesn't mean that Pacquiao should be forced to meet Mayweather's legal schedule.
Intellectually, Mayweather has to know that. Mayweather's last fight came against Victor Ortiz and ended early, before Mayweather had endured any serious shots. Pacquiao's last fight was not only significantly more grueling, but also came two months later.
Calling Pacquiao out for a May 5 fight is not realistic, and Mayweather knows it.
The last thing that Mayweather has to know is that this is not a fight that needs only four months of promotion. Rushing it isn't going to help either man. Again, if I know it, Mayweather knows it.
This isn't Mayweather calling Pacquiao out. No, this is Mayweather talking very big for a fight that he knows won't happen.
As has been the case the whole way with these two, I remain skeptical. I know that's not exactly an uncommon view here, but it's hard to believe that Mayweather really wants to put his undefeated record up against Pacquiao. He's had two years to make something happen, and waited until right now to get bold. That doesn't add up.
Mayweather knows that a May 5 fight is not realistic, so he's trying to earn some PR points.
I certainly wouldn't mind being proven wrong here—I want this fight to happen as much as anyone does. But I am not seeing this as a real sign that this fight will happen, or that Mayweather wants to get in the ring with Pacquiao.
