NFL Playoff Bracket 2012: Green Bay Packers' Rough Road Will End in Repeat

Gabe ZaldivarMay 31, 2018

This is the year the Green Bay Packers finally win the Super Bowl. Well, since the last time they won a mere year ago, I mean.

Nothing comes easy and the Packers will no doubt earn what may be a sweeter-tasting championship when all is said and done.

Tim Tebow may be the story around every water cooler in the nation, but by February we will all wonder where that Aaron Rodgers guys showed up from. The fact is the Packers just put together a ridiculous season where they dropped one game, and yet Tebow Time is the call of the day.

That may serve the Packers well. This would be the time where immense pressure would begin to set in around the defending champs.

Instead, they are back at their Lambeau cave escaping the usual spotlight that would wash over a potential back-to-back champion.

First up are the New York Giants and Eli Manning. I have my concerns about the Packers holding off Manning, who is having one of his best seasons. However, the Packers are not about keeping offenses stifled, they will settle for keeping them at bay.

This team still has issues in the secondary, but the Packers beat you with the one weapon no defense has an answer for, and that's Aaron Rodgers.

I don't like the Giants' inconsistent defense to stop him, nor do I put faith in the San Francisco 49ers to succeed in corralling the best in the business.

If you want a game that scares me, it would be the New Orleans Saints and a potential shootout with Drew Brees. That and a game with the Baltimore Ravens would be the two games that would give the Packers a real touch time.

Still, I find so much advantage in a Packers offense with so many weapons. There is no team that spreads the ball better, and their versatility will have them taking home the title once again.
