Jaded WWE fans often get accused of not liking anything that the company does simply because they don't want to like the product.

But when you see John Cena not caring about a match result because his little buddy Zack Ryder is getting beat up by Kane, it does make you wonder why there are matches. If the results don't matter, what is the point of having two people wrestle?

The one thing that does provide all of us with hope that things will get better are rumors. We love rumors and news and speculating about what might be before it happens because we can play fantasy booker. 

With that in mind, here are some of the top rumors and stories in WWE for Wednesday, including SmackDown Spoilers.

If you were ever wondering why Cena never turned heel, the fact that he reportedly made the company $106 million in 2010 is a big reason why.

Our Take: Absolutely. There is no one in the company that can draw like Cena. His appeal is based on his kid-friendly character, so to kill that would be risking millions of dollars. Even Vince McMahon isn't stupid enough to take that chance.

The Internet Wrestling Community loves to hate on Cena, and, certainly, there is a lot to pick on, but he is a cash cow for WWE and no one else comes close.

Our Take: When we kept getting conflicting reports on the severity of the injury, it was obvious that something wasn't right. I wouldn't be surprised if this whole thing was fabricated simply to get him some time off to make him the "surprise" entrant in the Royal Rumble. 

Hype Meter: 3 out of 5 Griswold Family Vacations

I don't begrudge Orton for wanting to take time off. In fact, I think that most WWE employees need a break every now and then. But for him to go on Twitter and talk about going to Hawaii is interesting, just because WWE likes its talent to stay in character on social media websites.

YOKOZUNA=WWE HALL OF FAMER?

While it is not official until it is announced by WWE, there is a report that the late Yokozuna will join Edge and the Four Horsemen in this year's Hall of Fame class.

Our Take: There are two ways to look at all of WWE's Hall of Fame inductees. The first is to pay attention to the true main-eventers, like Edge, who have earned their spot through years of hard work, dedication and a spectacular resume. Others, like Yokozuna, are just there to fill time until the real deserving stars get in.

It is best not to get too worked up about who is and isn't in the Hall of Fame, because it all boils down to how Vince McMahon feels about a certain wrestler at a certain time. Still, it is telling that someone like Yokozuna can get in, while Randy Savage and Bruno Sammartino can't get in.

BRODUS CLAY A HIT BACKSTAGE

While I personally thought that Brodus Clay's re-debut spelled the end of his career, the reaction among fans has been a lot more positive than I would have guessed. The people in charge of WWE agree with that, apparently.

Our Take: Well, WWE has plenty of monsters walking around right now, so anything is possible. Plus, it helps that the company is in the habit of burying its talent.

While the online reaction to Clay's new gimmick is positive, there is no way that this kind of thing can last. He has a ceiling on how high he can actually advance in WWE doing this week after week, but to his credit, he sells really hard.

WORLD TITLE MATCH GUARANTEED TO HAVE FINISH HAS NO FINISH

Big Show's no-countout, no-disqualification world championship match with Daniel Bryan, that was stipulated simply so that they would have a true winner, ended up being a no-contest because Big Show ran over A.J.

Question on Everybody's Mind: What does this mean?

Our Take: I suppose it means that they are going to have a match for the title at the Royal Rumble, with Mark Henry possibly being added to the mix, but what a lame way to end a championship match that was made simply to have a real finish. 

Hype Meter: 3 out of 5 False Finishes

I haven't heard about the actual match itself, so all I can judge is the finish, but based on what WWE did, it would have been better not to even have Big Show and Bryan wrestle. It didn't solve anything, nor did it properly build to anything.
