Steelers vs. Broncos: Pittsburgh Mayor "Tebows" After Losing Bet

Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl has been caught on camera in a very compromising position. The humbled mayor was photographed "Tebowing" while wearing a Denver Broncos' Tim Tebow jersey. 

Luckily, for the sake of his career, he was doing this only to pay up on a bet with Denver Mayor Michael Hancock. The two wagered on their respective teams for their Wild Card Round matchup. 

It seemed like a safe bet for Ravenstahl as his Steelers were heavily favored to beat the slumping Broncos. The mayor was clearly confident about his bet. 

Ravenstahl was quoted by CNN News: 

"

This is not something I ever thought I'd have to do, and it certainly wasn't something I was looking forward to. However, we're good sports here in Pittsburgh, and I want to congratulate Denver on a great win.

"

His bet came quickly crashing down in overtime as Tebow threw a touchdown pass in the first play of the extra session. 

This photograph is not just a bitter pill for the Ravenstahl, but almost all of his contingents as well. The Steelers entered this postseason with high hopes. After narrowly missing out on the AFC North title, they entered as one of the favorites in the AFC.

They were expected to handle a Broncos team that slumped to lose their final three games of the regular season. However, Denver's offense sprang to life against the vaunted Steelers defense, and now it is Pittsburgh that is left to plan for next season and put their mayor in compromising positions while paying off bets.
