Tiger Woods PGA 13 Video: Watch Trailer of the Highly-Anticipated Golf Game

Tiger Woods PGA 13 may very well be a great addition to the successful virtual golf franchise, but the announcement trailer doesn't give us much to get excited about.

The graphics look stellar—which is something we've come to expect—but we can't detect much else.

Tiger is sharing the cover with Rickie Fowler and Rory McElroy. Tiger has received less than sole cover-man status since his personal and professional issues arose.

Last year he was barely on the cover at all, though the game still did carry his name. And, he was the default player for gamers. He was pictured off in the distance, driving off the tee.

A strong 2012 may just restore Tiger's cover status, and enable him to hold off golf's youth movement in real life as well as in the marketing of the video game.

This is the 14th edition of the popular game. It is the second time Tiger has shared the cover (the other time being with Rory McElroy on the 2011 version) and the third year in a row the game has gone with an alternative cover.

If Tiger dominates 2012 the way he has in the past, it would be difficult to fathom seeing anyone else on the cover. This is especially true considering the amount of media coverage that his tournament victories will garner.

Tiger finished 2011 fairly strong, and he has recently mentioned that he is finally healthy again.

That will be necessary if he is to regain his form on the course and his placement on the cover of his gaming franchise.
