Les Miles Video: Watch Bobby Hebert Blast LSU Coach at Postgame Presser
Les Miles had to be dreading his postgame press conference after his LSU Tigers were shut out 21-0 by the Alabama Crimson Tide in the BCS National Championship Game.
When the first question turned into more of a rant against Miles, the "Mad Hatter" was probably wishing he could just disappear.
Former New Orleans Saint Bobby Hebert asked what was on the minds of many after LSU was embarrassed in the national spotlight.
Everyone wanted to know why Miles didn't pull Jordan Jefferson for Jarrett Lee.
Hebert began with a question, but instead of letting Miles answer, he continued to talk, essentially telling the Tigers head coach he was ridiculous for not giving Lee a chance.
The moderator even had to step in to get Hebert to stop his tangent. Hebert hosts a radio show in New Orleans and also has a son that plays for LSU.
Had this been any other media member, we might have seen a different reaction from Miles.
Perhaps my favorite part of Hebert's rant is him saying, "So what if you get a pick-six?"
Sir, that would put LSU in an even bigger hole, and Miles didn't want to risk giving the Crimson Tide any more points.
Lee has seven interceptions in his career at Alabama and has shown time and time again he doesn't handle pressure well.
It's understandable that many would be calling for Lee, and I do think he should've been given a chance, but Miles stuck with his gut and kept Jefferson in. The LSU defense was doing a good job keeping it close, and Miles thought his best bet was with Jefferson.
Unfortunately for Miles and the rest of the Tigers' fans, Jefferson couldn't find any success against an extremely talented Alabama defense.
This video is certainly proof that Miles will be getting heat for quite some time over his decisions in the biggest game of them all.
