2012 NFL Draft: Full 7-Round Mock Draft: (Revised 4-23)

Update time for the 2012 NFL Mock draft.  There are some big risers and fallers in this draft and maybe even a few surprises.  Inevitabely, things will change from time to time, so I will do my best to keep on coming with updated drafts.  The first pick, the Indianapolis Colts, will probably be the only pick that will more than likely stay the same. 

1. 1st-Round Selections

1. Indianapolis Colts: Andrew Luck: Quarterback: Stanford: Andrew Luck is one of the most sought after college quarterbacks in over a decade and there is no way the Colts let him out of their grips.

2. Washington Redskins (Via St. Louis Rams): Robert Griffin III: Quarterback: Baylor:  Griffin has a chance at becoming a Cam Newton type impact player. No-Brainer for Washington here. 

3. Minnesota Vikings: Matt Kalil: Tackle: USC: The Vikings have to make this their number one priority, no questions asked.

4. Cleveland Browns: Ryan Tannehill: Quarterback: Texas A&M:  This may be a reach, but the Browns do not have much to lose by taking this high risk, even higher reward pick here.

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Morris Claiborne: Cornerback: LSU: The Buccaneers need help at almost every position and with Ronde Barber aging quickly and Aqib Talib losing his mind, Claiborne offers the best chance at rebuilding this defense.

6. St. Louis Rams: Justin Blackmon: Wide Receiver: Oklahoma State:  I have a feeling they will trade back a little bit and snag Riley Reiff, but if not, they go Blackmon here.

7. Jacksonville Jaguars: Michael Floyd: Wide Receiver: Notre Dame:  This could be a reach, but the Jaguars need a true no.1 receiver to help Blaine Gabbert.

8. Miami Dolphins: Trent Richardson: Running Back: Alabama:  This may seem like an odd pick, but the Dolphins could use this back in a heartbeat.

9. Carolina Panthers: Fletcher Cox: Defensive Tackle: Mississippi St.: The Panthers defensive line has been dreadful, the need is real for this pick.

10. Buffalo Bills: Quinton Coples: Defensive End: North Carolina: The Bills did sign Mario Williams, but he cannot play both sides of the ball.

11. Kansas City Chiefs: Riley Reiff: Tackle: Iowa: The Chiefs offensive line in Kansas City was awful to say the least, Riley Reiff is a major upgrade here.

12. Seattle Seahawks: Courtney Upshaw: Defensive End: Alabama:  This is going to knock your socks off, but Upshaw will be the defensive rookie of the year.

13. Arizona Cardinals: Cordy Glenn: Tackle/Guard: Georgia:  The Cardinals will draft Glenn to play tackle, which may be his better suit in the NFL.

14. Dallas Cowboys: Dre Kirkpatrick: Cornerback: Alabama:  I am not sold on Kirkpatrick, but the Cowboys have to answer their coverage problems.

15. Philadelphia Eagles: Luke Kuechly: Linebacker: Boston College: The Eagle linebackers are not good, plain and simple.  The need someone who can make the tackles and uses proper form when making said tackle.  Kuechly may go down as one of the greatest tacklers in the college game.

16. New York Jets: Kendall Wright: Wide Receiver: Baylor:  Sanchez needs young receivers that want to play the game.

17. Cincinnati Bengals (Via Oakland Raiders): Stephon Gilmore: Cornerback: South Carolina:  The Bengals have answered some of the problem via free-agency, but Terence Newman and Jason Allen are not the answer.

18. San Diego Chargers: Jonathan Martin: Tackle: Stanford: The Chargers will take and offensive lineman from Stanford, either Martin or David DeCastro.

19. Chicago Bears: David DeCastro: Guard: Stanford: The Bears would rather get a tackle here, but I think they will settle for DeCastro if he is here.

20. Tennessee Titans: Nick Perry: Defensive End: USC:  The Titans need a pass rusher and could be in the market for Courtney Upshaw if he falls here.

21. Cincinnati Bengals: MArk Barron: Safety: Alabama:  The Bengals need to find someone opposite Reggie Nelson, Barron is by far the best option here.

22. Cleveland Browns (Via Atlanta Falcons): Stephen Hill: Wide Receiver: Georgia Tech: If the Browns elect to go with Tannehill earlier in the round, they will need to go out and grab someone for him to throw it too.

23. Detroit Lions: Mike Adams: Tackle: Ohio State:  This is a bit of a reach and there is a chance Jonathan Martin or Cordy Glenn could fall here.

23. Cleveland Browns (Via Atlanta Falcons): Stephen Hill: Wide Receiver: Georgia Tech: If the Browns elect to go with Tannehill earlier in the round, they will need to go out and grab someone for him to throw it too.

24. Pittsburgh Steelers: Kevin Zeitler: Guard: Wisconsin: Zeitler has come on right before the draft and the Steelers need a whole new offensive line, so this should work out.

25. Denver Broncos: Michael Brockers: Defensive Tackle: LSU:  I think Brockers falls a bit due to his lack of experience, but should fit well in Denver.

26. Houston Texans: Rueben Randle: Wide Receiver: LSU:  Outside of Andre Johnson, the Texans really have no one else to catch the ball consistently. Randle would be an excellent no. 2 receiver in Houston.

27. New England Patriots (Via New Orleans Saints): Melvin Ingram: Linebacker: South Carolina: Ingram will probably fall a little bit, but would be an excellent value late in the first round.

28. Green Bay Packers: Whitney Mercilus: Linebacker: Illinois: The Packers need another pass rusher outside of Clay Matthews, Mercilus was the sack champion in 2011, match made in heaven?

29. Baltimore Ravens: Peter Konz: Center: Wisconsin: Matt Birk is aging fast, so finding his replacement is a major need.

30. San Francisco 49ers: Andre Branch: Defensive End: Clemson: The 49ers are thin at the position and this is the best value pick at this point.

31. New England Patriots: Chandler Jones: Defensive End: Syracuse: The Patriots are in major need of defensive line depth and pass rushers.

32. New York Giants: Coby Fleener: Tight End: Stanford: We all saw the tight end corps go down in the super bowl, so that makes it more obvious the Giants covet Fleener here.
