NFL Playoffs 2012: The Tim Tebow Show Continues
Previewing the weekend's games, who gave the Broncos a chance to beat the Steelers? Not many. If I told you Tim Tebow would throw for 316 yards and score three total touchdowns, you would've told me I was crazy. The fact is Tim Tebow is a winner in this league.
The Pittsburgh Steelers had the number-one defense in the NFL coming into this game. On average, they allowed 171.9 passing yards per game. Surely, a player like Tim Tebow, who isn't known for his arm, would not be able to pass on this defense.
Wrong.

Wolves Suffer Worst Playoff Loss Ever
Tebow torched this defense deep all game. Yes, the Steelers were short a few players but they had the majority of their starting secondary in the game. Tebow was on for most of the game and was cautious in situations that could have changed the entire game.
In addition to the passing game, Tebow and company ran for 131 yards on a defense that allowed an average of just about 100 yards per game this year. Tebow contributed 50 of these yards and Willis McGahee ran for 61 yards on 19 carries.
As the saying goes, defense wins championships. The Broncos defense held their own, especially in the late stages of the game. The sack of Big Ben on third down where a 15-yard gain would have put the Steelers in field-goal range was huge. That was only one of the five sacks the Broncos D had in this game. The defense came up huge and gave Tebow a chance to do what he does best...win.
If you aren't on the Tebow bandwagon by now, I suggest getting on. Even if the Patriots beat the Broncos next weekend, Tebow would end the year with an 8-5 record as a starter, including a win against the defending AFC Champions in his first-ever playoff start. And if you still aren't convinced, perhaps Tebow will again surprise us all with a win against New England next weekend.
On the bandwagon or not, everyone can admit that Tim Tebow has provided us with something to watch week in and week out. GB2.
