Elton Brand Jersey Video: Watch 76ers Forward Get His Jersey Shredded

Austin GreenJan 8, 2012

The Philadelphia 76ers have been dominant this season and not even Amir "Edward Scissorhands" Johnson can stop them.

Johnson made Johnny Depp proud in the second quarter of Saturday's game, but his jersey-shredding tactics couldn't prevent the Sixers from spanking Toronto, 97-62.

It was Philadelphia's second blowout win in as many nights, boosting their league-leading point differential to an insane 15.3 points per game.

Of Philadelphia's five victories, four have come in blowout fashion. They beat Phoenix by 20, Golden State by 21, Detroit by 23 and now Toronto by 35.

At 5-2, the Sixers are currently first in the Atlantic division, ahead of the disappointing New York Knicks and Boston Celtics.

They have a balanced scoring attack, led by Lou Williams at 17.1 points per game. Jrue Holiday, Andre Iguodala, Thaddeus Young and Spencer Hawes are also averaging double-digits. Evan Turner and Elton Brand aren't far behind.

Head coach Doug Collins deserves plenty of props for the work he's done in the City of Brotherly Love. In just his second season at the helm, Collins has the Sixers playing like a finely tuned machine.

They are in the top five in points per game (100.9), points allowed per game (85.6) and rebounds per game (45.9).

The Sixers have benefited from a soft early schedule, so it will be interesting to see how they stack up against the NBA's elite.

Their win percentage and point differential will likely drop off in the coming months. Still, no one will want to see this Philadelphia team come playoff time.
