Brothers Dylan and Nicholas Khatchikian had a historic night on the court in Mesrobian High School's 119-25 win over Waverly on Thursday.

Nicholas scored 102 points on 48-of-60 shooting, while Dylan dished out 35 assists in a game that he finished with a triple-double despite not scoring.

Per Jordan Divens of MaxPreps, Nicholas set a new California state record for points in a single game and Dylan is believed to have tied the national record for assists in a game.

In an Instagram post from SportsCenter NEXT about the historic night for the Khatchikian brothers, LeBron James commented, "I wanna see the game film!"

Per Eric Sondheimer of the Los Angeles Times, the score was 79-0 at halftime and Nicholas was pulled from the game late in the third quarter.

Mesrobian head coach Mike Gabriel told Sondheimer that Nick scored 102 points in just 22 minutes of game time.

Citing CalHiSports.com, Sondheimer noted the previous California single-game scoring record was 100 points by Tigran Grigoryan in 2003 Grigoryan also played for Mesrobian.

USA Today's Scooby Axson pointed out Grigoryan is currently an assistant on Gabriel's staff.

The 102 points for Nicholas is tied for the 13th-most in a single game in Max Preps' database. He's also the fourth high school player to score at least 100 points this century, joining Grigoryan, Cedrick Hensley (101 in 2001) and Dajuan Wagner (100 in 2001).

Per the National Federation of State High School Associations, Andre Colbert set the single-game assist record with 35 for Lockport DeSales (New York) against Lancaster St. Mary's on Feb. 19, 1987.

Dylan's triple-double consisted of 35 assists, 15 rebounds and 13 steals. Nick ranks seventh among all California high school players in scoring average with 32.7 points per game on 55 percent shooting this season.

The brothers are seniors, but it's unclear if they will both play college basketball. Divens noted Nick received a scholarship offer from High Point University last year.
