The Philadelphia Eagles opened the day by defeating the Washington Commanders in the NFC Championship to reach their second Super Bowl in the last three years. The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship in the nightcap to earn their third straight Super Bowl berth and set up a rematch of Super Bowl LVII.

Eagles 55, Commanders 23

From their very first possession of the NFC title game, it was clear that the Eagles were on their way to a special day. Star running back Saquon Barkley ran for a 60-yard touchdown on Philadelphia's first offensive play, his first of three scores to help the team earn its fifth conference championship in franchise history.

The loss ended a dream season for the Commanders, who went well and above exceeding expectations from the start of the year. Rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels established himself as the future of the NFL, and first-year head coach Dan Quinn put the team in the best position for success.

Now, the Commanders will turn their attention to continuing to build for the future. Sunday's loss gives them the No. 29 pick in the 2025 NFL draft, so they will likely try to secure the best player available.

Luckily for Washington, this year's draft class is deep with talent even toward the end of the first round, so the team will be able to land a game-changer with the late pick.

The Commanders could look to add more firepower for Daniels. In a recent mock draft, B/R's NFL Scouting Department predicted that Washington would select Missouri wide receiver Luther Burden III, who would be a strong No. 2 next to star wideout Terry McLaurin.

Chiefs 32, Bills 29

The fourth postseason meeting between the Chiefs and Bills produced yet another classic, but it was the same ending. Kansas City got the better of its rival once again to put itself on the cusp of the first three-peat in modern NFL history.

For Buffalo, it's a familiar trip back to the drawing board. The Bills were hoping to make it to the Super Bowl for the first time since 1993, but they will have to wait another year to get another shot at reaching the Big Game.

Despite having the presumptive favorite for this year's NFL MVP award in star quarterback Josh Allen, Buffalo has struggled to get over the hump and slay the dragon of Kansas City. The team has built a strong core of talent around him, but it just hasn't been enough.

The No. 30 pick will be the first of eight selections for the Bills as they try to add more difference-makers on both sides of the ball. B/R's NFL Scouting Department predicted in a recent mock draft that Oregon defensive tackle Derrick Harmon would be a solid fit in Buffalo.
