Super Bowl 2025: Predictions and Latest Odds Ahead of Conference Championship Bracket
After Saturday saw the No. 6 Washington Commanders' shocking 45-31 upset of the No. 1 Detroit Lions, Sunday's NFL divisional round action delivered two good games between more closely matched teams.
The Philadelphia Eagles and Buffalo Bills defeated the Los Angeles Rams and Baltimore Ravens, respectively, but both games were within a touchdown. The Ravens had a chance right up until the final moments in their 27-25 loss to the Bills, while the Rams nearly came back and upset the Eagles before falling 28-22.
Now the conference championship games are set. The Commanders will try to keep the road upsets coming against the Eagles, and the Bills and Chiefs meet yet again in the postseason, with the Bills looking for a different result after falling to Patrick Mahomes' Chiefs in all three meetings.
Let's take a look at the latest odds for these matchups as well as Super Bowl LIX.
Latest Super Bowl Odds
1 of 3
Philadelphia Eagles: +180
Kansas City Chiefs: +240
Buffalo Bills: +260
Washington Commanders: +650
AFC Championship Game
2 of 3
Buffalo Bills +1.5
Kansas City Chiefs -1.5
Even if you don't have a rooting interest in this AFC Championship Game matchup, you likely fall into one of two camps: You either want to see the Kansas City Chiefs become the first team in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls...or you want to see the Buffalo Bills win their very first Super Bowl.
It's a classic case of David and Goliath, or maybe more the haves and have-nots; either way, there's no disputing the fact that these Bills are actually extremely well-matched against the Chiefs.
Sure, the Bills have never defeated Patrick Mahomes' Chiefs in three tries in the postseason, but don't forget that it was Buffalo that put an end to Kansas City's undefeated streak in Week 11. In that game, the Bills, who had the best turnover differential in the league this season, intercepted Mahomes twice.
It was also their three forced turnovers in Sunday's divisional round game against the Baltimore Ravens that allowed the Bills to advance to the conference championship.
It's hard to bet against Mahomes and the Chiefs, but it's easy to root for Josh Allen and the Bills.
Prediction: Bills 24, Chiefs 21
NFC Championship Game
3 of 3
Eagles -4.5
Commanders +4.5
It's an NFC East showdown for the conference championship game.
The sixth-seeded Commanders have improbably survived to this point, but will they run into a wall when they meet the Eagles?
There's no question Washington, led by rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels, has gotten hot at exactly the right time this season, having now won two road playoff games against No. 3 Tampa Bay and No. 1 Detroit as an underdog.
Washington and Philadelphia split their two regular-season matchups. In the game the Eagles won in Week 11, it was all about Saquon Barkley, whose 146 yards and two touchdowns helped lead the Eagles to a 26-18 victory.
Ultimately, expect it once again to be Barkley who helps the Eagles hold off the Commanders and earn a trip to New Orleans for Super Bowl LIX.
Prediction: Eagles 30, Commanders 21
