Eagles 28, Rams 22
Eagles running back Saquon Barkley amassed 232 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns to lead his team to a 28-22 home win over the Rams.
Barkley's 78-yard touchdown run gave the Eagles a 28-15 lead with 4:36 remaining in regulation as snow fell in Philadelphia.
However, the Rams then engineered a furious comeback. Matt Stafford marched the Rams 70 yards down the field in 10 plays and 1:48 capped by a Colby Parkinson four-yard touchdown. L.A. then forced a three-and-out, putting the ball in Stafford's hands with 2:23 left.
The Rams drove all the way to the Eagles' 13-yard line, but a sack and an incomplete pass ended the threat.
With the loss, the Rams' first-round draft position at No. 26 overall has been set.
As for a potential pick, L.A. is perhaps best-served taking an offensive lineman early. Injuries hampered the Rams all year, to the point where all five starters played just four regular-season games together, per Brandon Thorn for Establish the Run.
More depth, at minimum, is a must. The team's struggles protecting Stafford, who took five sacks, were readily apparent on Sunday. Adding more talent up front is imperative toward the Rams taking the next step.
Bills 27, Ravens 25
The Ravens nearly tied the game after trailing by eight points with just more than three minutes left in the fourth quarter, as they marched down the field before Lamar Jackson found tight end Isaiah Likely for a 24-yard touchdown.
A two-point conversion attempt failed after a pass from Jackson was dropped by Mark Andrews, though.
Baltimore couldn't recover an onside kick, sealing the win for Buffalo.
The Ravens picked up 416 yards as a team, but three turnovers prevented them from building upon an early 7-0 lead in the first quarter and hindered their attempts to come back and win.
With the loss, Baltimore is now locked into the No. 27 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft.
Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta could have his sights set on making a defensive addition in the first round. Secondary issues were rampant for the team in 2024, as they owned the league's second-worst pass defense during the regular season.
The Ravens could also add some defensive line help. Baltimore amassed an impressive 60 sacks in 2023, but the team's sack total fell to 54 in 2024. In order to avoid another drop, a potential solution might be another pass-rusher on a rookie deal.
As the Ravens look to win their third consecutive AFC North crown and advance further in the playoffs next season, they'll look to address one of their roster needs with the 27th pick.
