Jalen Hurts, Eagles Beat Packers, NFL Fans Praise Team Effort to Advance in Playoffs

After getting bounced from the playoffs in the wild-card round a year ago, the Philadelphia Eagles survived this time around to advance to the divisional round.

The Eagles beat the Green Bay Packers 22-10 on Sunday to keep their season alive.

Philadelphia got off to a hot start, scoring on its first drive of the game before getting a field goal to make it 10-0 heading into the second quarter. After a scoreless second quarter, Green Bay cut into the lead with a field goal, but the Eagles answered with a touchdown pass from Jalen Hurts to Dallas Goedert.

The Packers weren't going away, though, as a big drive from running back Josh Jacobs made it 16-10 early in the fourth quarter. Jacobs' score was the last Green Bay got, however, and the Eagles closed the door with a pair of field goals and an interception on the Packers' final drive.

While Philadelphia's offense did enough to get the win, it was the defense that shined. The Eagles forced Packers quarterback Jordan Love to throw three interceptions and got another takeaway on a fumble. Philadelphia also came up with several big stops on third and fourth downs late in the game.

Hurts had 131 passing yards and a pair of interceptions to go along with 37 rushing yards. It wasn't the most memorable game from the quarterback, but he'll look to come out stronger in the divisional round next week.

Star running back Saquon Barkley, playing in just the third playoff game of his career, finished with 119 rushing yards.

After the gritty win, fans praised the Eagles for doing what it takes to advance past the wild-card round.

Having taken care of business in the wild-card round, the Eagles will now face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Minnesota Vikings or Los Angeles Rams. The Packers will head into the offseason trying to figure out how it can come back strong and compete for a championship next year.
