Video: Tom Brady Reveals NFL Power Rankings Ahead of 2025 Playoff Bracket

Andrew PetersJan 9, 2025

Tom Brady has decided his top NFL teams heading to the playoffs.

The legendary quarterback-turned-broadcaster listed his power rankings on Thursday. He had the Kansas City Chiefs in his top spot with the Detroit Lions, Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings following after them.

"Another incredible season from Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes," Brady said. "They won a franchise record 15 games and how about (Steve Spagnuolo's) defense ranking top-five in scoring for the second year in a row? Can KC become the first team ever to win three straight Super Bowls?"

As Brady mentioned, the Chiefs have been known more for their defense than their offense this season, but as we've seen in the past, Patrick Mahomes rises to the occasion. It won't be a surprise to see him step up his game this postseason.

The Lions made a strong case for the No. 1 spot with a massive win over the Vikings to secure the top seed in the NFC, but Brady gave Kansas City the edge likely because of the Chiefs' recent history.

Kansas City has the chance to make history this year by winning three consecutive Super Bowls, but it will be a tall task. The Chiefs will have to get through the Buffalo Bills or Baltimore Ravens in the AFC and would then have a tough opponent waiting on them in the Super Bowl if they make it.

It will be interesting to see how the teams in Brady's power rankings fair in the coming weeks as the playoffs get started.
