Sauce Gardner Says 'Some People Might Be Checked Out' After Jets' Loss to Bills
Following the New York Jets' 40-14 blowout loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner expressed his frustration, stating that the word "embarrassing" didn't even begin to cover the team's performance. He added that the team's outlook on the postseason could be impacting their play.
"Embarrassing? I don't even know if that's the word," Gardner told reporters post game. You're telling me now it's 40-0? If you ask me that means it's the end of the season, obviously we're not going to the playoffs, some people might be checked out."

Strength of Schedule for Every Team
Gardner finished with three tackles and one pass defended in the loss, while Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers struggled, completing 12-of-18 passes for 112 yards and two interceptions.
Rodgers was replaced in the fourth quarter by 35-year-old Tyrod Taylor in the fourth quarter, who came in and threw for two touchdowns, completing 11-of-14 passes for 83 yards.
"We beat them my rookie year right? Last year too," Garden asked reporters. "They had a similar roster and we quote on quote, enhanced our roster in all areas. So, that just tells me... we can't be playing as a team. We're probably just individuals."
Gardner was the No. 4 overall pick in the 2022 draft, where the Jets defeated the Bills 20-17 in Week 9 but lost to them 20-12 in Week 12. In his second season, the Jets opened with a 22-16 overtime win against Buffalo but then lost 32-6 in Week 11.
"I know last year and the year before, we had a roster that wasn't as talented as this roster but we found ways to beat the bills, we found ways to win," Gardner continued. "So, what's stopping that now with a more talented roster."
The Jets will have one more chance to pick up a victory as they face the 7-8 Miami Dolphins in their final game of the season.
