Raiders Rumors: Team Plane Didn't Land Until 1 A.M. After Delays Ahead of Saints Game
The Las Vegas Raiders may be tired heading into Sunday's road game against the New Orleans Saints.
"They were supposed to fly out yesterday, late in the afternoon, to New Orleans," Peter Schrager of Fox Sports reported. "They had mechanical issues on the plane, got on, they had to deboard, delayed. They didn't land in New Orleans until 1 o'clock in the morning, Eastern, yesterday. They had less than 12 hours to prepare. They'll be taking the field in less than two hours having not slept much and not going through the team meetings in New Orleans."

While this is surely not the season the 3-12 Raiders envisioned, they did arrive in New Orleans following the delays with hopes of building momentum heading into the offseason.
After all, they just defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 16 and have a real opportunity to start a winning streak. The Saints are coming off a 34-0 loss to the Green Bay Packers, are also playing out the string on a lost campaign and will be starting Spencer Rattler at quarterback.
Las Vegas couldn't ask for a better opportunity to win its first road game since Week 2, but the travel delays may not bode well.
The game also kicks off at 1 p.m. ET, which is 10 a.m. PT in Las Vegas. The players' internal clocks will surely be off throughout the day, especially after the difficulty getting to New Orleans created such a quick turnaround for the entire team.
New Orleans just played on Monday Night Football in Week 16, which means it is the team playing on a short week for this matchup.
But it will also be the more rested team in a surprise change of events.
