The National Lacrosse League is investigating an incident involving Tyson Bell of the Halifax Thunderbirds after video appeared to capture him punching and swinging his stick at fans after Saturday's game against the Colorado Mammoth.

"The National Lacrosse League is aware of an alleged incident between a player and spectator(s) following the Halifax at the Colorado game on December 21st," the NLL said in a statement. "The League will provide an update after it has completed its investigation."

TMZ Sports noted the video captured the scene in the aftermath of the game and showed Bell "attacking the fans with his fist before swinging his stick at them."

Fans were heckling the players as they walked toward their locker room, and Bell then turned things physical with his reaction before teammates held him back and settled the situation.

Colorado won the game 19-14 with Will Malcolm leading the way with 10 points and seven goals. Connor Robinson added seven assists.

Bell did not tally a goal or assist for the Thunderbirds, although Randy Staats had nine assists.
