Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb: 'My Shoulder Is Out of Whack' After Aggravating Injury vs. Bucs

Scott PolacekDec 23, 2024

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb has been battling through a right shoulder injury for much of the season, and he provided more details following Sunday's 26-24 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

"My shoulder is outta whack, I'm not gonna even lie to you," he said, per Jon Machota of The Athletic. "I'm just out there battling and doing what I do. It's not fun."

Lamb fell hard on his shoulder as he was tackled following a 52-yard catch in Sunday's win and went to the sidelines for extended stretches. However, he ended up returning to the game and finished with seven catches for 105 yards.

"I love this game that much," he said when opening up about why he continues to play through the injury. "I'm literally willing to put my body out there on the line for my guys."

Dallas is eliminated from playoff competition and is just 7-8 on the campaign, but Lamb continues to take the field during another excellent individual season. He has 101 catches for 1,194 yards and six touchdowns, marking a fourth straight season with more than 1,000 receiving yards.

The Cowboys and Lamb agreed to a contract extension this offseason, so the front office is surely thrilled to hear such dedication from someone who is expected to be one of the faces of the franchise for years to come.

The 25-year-old is one of the best receivers in the league and continues to serve as a leader for the franchise even when the Cowboys aren't playing for anything at the end of the season.

Given that track record, he will likely be right back on the field for Sunday's NFC East showdown against the Philadelphia Eagles.
