Texans' Tank Dell Released from Hospital After Knee Injury; WR Travels to Houston
Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell was released from the hospital and is traveling back to Houston after suffering a severe knee injury in Saturday's 27-19 loss against the Kansas City Chiefs.
"Right now, we still will be evaluating to see where he is," head coach DeMeco Ryans told reporters. "He's still meeting with doctors to see what's next for him. But it is a significant knee injury."
Dell took to social media on Sunday night to post a message:

Dell, 25, suffered the injury while catching a touchdown reception in the third quarter. As he was coming down with the ball in the back of the end zone, teammate Jared Wayne—who was also tracking the ball and attempting to make the catch—collided with his legs.
He was taken off the field in a covered medical cart and hospitalized.
A number of players were visibily emotional as Dell remained on the field, including quarterback C.J. Stroud, who was in tears.
"It's not easy seeing your brother go down like that," he told reporters after the game. "I'm just tore up. But at the same time, I got to be strong for him. ... That's my best friend. It's not easy to move on and just keep playing. I tried to do the best that I could. My teammates helped me up, Joe [Mixon] helped me up and Dalton [Schultz]. I appreciate the guys just talking to me because I was going through it."
Despite reports that Dell dislocated his kneecap, Ryans told reporters on Sunday that the second-year wideout has not yet been ruled out for the remainder of the season.
"We're still evaluating that to see what will happen," he said. "He still has to talk to doctors and go through all the procedures there."
If Dell's season is over, it would be the second straight year a major injury ended his campaign early. Last December, a broken leg cut his rookie season short. In 25 career games, he's registered 98 catches for 1,376 yards and 10 scores.
The Texans have been hit hard by injuries at the wide receiver position, with Stefon Diggs already out for the season with a torn ACL.
"That s--t hurts. It hurts. We know how much he meant to this team," Nico Collins told reporters regarding Dell's injury. "But losing one of your brothers, man, it hurts. Speedy recovery for my dog. Mentally, he's going through it, but we have to keep stepping, keep climbing for him."
