Charlie Woods, the son of legendary golfer Tiger Woods, discussed his first career hole-in-one during the PNC Championship on Sunday.

"It was awesome," the younger Woods said in an interview after the event. "No one made a mistake today, so that was the most fun I've ever had. And on top of that, made an ace. I don't think I can top that. It was awesome."

During the final round of the tournament at the Ritz-Carlton Club Orlando, Charlie sunk a shot from 175 yards on a par-3 fourth hole.

The 15-year-old revealed that he initially wasn't aware that he carded an ace.

"It was a perfect 7-iron, so I just kind of hit it," Charlie told Golf Channel. "Just 175, a little down off the left, a little cut seven."

"It was awesome," he added. "I didn't think it went in. I don't believe anybody until I go up there and see it."

Team Woods ultimately suffered a narrow loss to Team Langer in a playoff, as both duos were tied at 28 under through 36 holes.

Bernhard Langer and his son, Jason, defeated Team Woods in a two-hole playoff after the elder Langer recorded an eagle on the third trip down the par-5 No. 18 hole to earn a second consecutive win in the event.

The Woods family ended the competition at No. 2 for the second time in five attempts, previously finishing as a runner-up in the 2021 PNC Championship.

Despite the playoff defeat, Tiger was impressed with his son's performance throughout the day.

"This is one of the highlights that we've ever had," Tiger said in the interview following the tournament. "We were talking about earlier on the hole previous, he made his first eagle. Now, he just made his first hole-in-one. It was a magical two-hole stretch. I'm just so happy for him and for the enjoyment we had as a family. To be out there with Bernie and Jason, it was a lot of fun."

While the pair couldn't clinch their first PNC title, they still shared a memorable experience on the course with Charlie's ace.
