Video: Tom Brady Praises Patrick Mahomes, Says Chiefs QB Has 'Championship DNA'
During Saturday's FOX broadcast of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens game, seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady offered high praise for fellow three-time Super Bowl champion Patrick Mahomes.
As the hunt for AFC playoff spots intensifies, Brady would still choose Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs over the red-hot Buffalo Bills and Josh Allen to go all the way.
"I think if it's a one score game, I'm taking Patrick Mahomes any time because he's just got that championship DNA," Brady said during the FOX broadcast.

The 14-1 Chiefs have already secured the top spot in the AFC, with the Bills close behind at 11-3, also having clinched their division victory. The 29-year-old has racked up 3,348 yards this season, ranking 10th in the league, with 22 touchdowns, 11 interceptions and a quarterback rating of 66.5.
This isn't the first time Brady has praised the superstar quarterback. Ahead of Super Bowl LVII, where the Chiefs faced the San Francisco 49ers, Brady welcomed the comparisons between himself and Mahomes.
"There's nothing that Patrick can do, in my opinion, that takes away from what I tried to accomplish in my career and there's nothing that I did [that] can take away from what he's trying to accomplish," Brady said on 'The Pat McAfee Show,' per CNN's Ben Morse.
Mahomes still needs four more championships to match Brady, but if that day comes, Brady would welcome him to the club with open arms.
"And believe me, if anybody can go out there and win seven Super Bowls, I have so much respect for them," Brady said, per Morse. "I understand how difficult it is. I will congratulate them and I'm going to give whoever it is a big hug."
