Jim Nagy Interviews for Jets GM Position amid Jon Robinson, Louis Riddick Rumors

The New York Jets interviewed Reese's Senior Bowl executive director Jim Nagy for their opening at general manager, the team announced on Thursday.

Prior to his current role, Nagy spent 18 years as an NFL scout with the Kansas City Chiefs, New England Patriots, Seattle Seahawks and Washington Commanders.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Sunday that the Jets were also targeting former Tennessee Titans general manager Jon Robinson and ESPN analyst Louis Riddick to fill the role.

New York has already completed interviews with Robinson as well as former Atlanta Falcons GM Thomas Dimitroff, per the team's official website.

The Jets fired general manager Joe Douglas on Nov. 19 and replaced him with senior football adviser Phil Savage in an interim role. They're in the midst of a disappointing season after entering the year with playoff aspirations, sitting at 4-10.

Nagy has overseen the football and business operations of the Senior Bowl since 2018, as the annual postseason college football contest has been used as a showcase for NFL draft prospects that have zero years of collegiate eligibility remaining.

He started his journey in the league as an intern with the Green Bay Packers in 1996 and has been a member of four Super Bowl-winning teams.

New York has several personnel decisions to make following the conclusion of the 2024 season, starting with quarterback Aaron Rodgers. While Rodgers is under contract in 2025, he's been noncommittal surrounding his future and could part ways with the team.

The Jets will also be searching for a new head coach after Robert Saleh was fired on Oct. 8 and replaced by former defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich.

As New York attempts to end the NFL's longest active playoff drought in 2025, Nagy is an option to serve as the team's next general manager.
