Arizona's Tetairoa McMillan Declares for 2025 NFL Draft; B/R's No. 3 Overall Player

On the day that he could be named the winner of the Fred Biletnikoff Award, Arizona star Tetairoa McMillan has declared for the 2025 NFL draft.

McMillan posted a statement on Instagram announcing he will forego his final year of eligibility to turn pro.

B/R's NFL scouting department has McMillan ranked as the No. 3 overall player in the 2025 class, behind only Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter and Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham.

B/R NFL scout Dame Parson wrote in his scouting report that McMillan's style of play compares favorably to Drake London or Tee Higgins because of his ability to line up at the X, Y or slot and produce at a high level.

McMillan was a highly-regarded player coming out of high school. He was rated as a 4-star prospect and No. 51 overall player in the 2022 class, per 247Sports' composite rankings.

The talent from McMillan was on display immediately at Arizona. He ranked 18th among all FBS players with at least 30 receptions in yards per catch (18.0) during the 2022 season.

McMillan took a huge step forward as a sophomore in 2023. The Anaheim native finished fifth in FBS with 1,402 receiving yards. He capped off the year with 10 catches for 160 yards in the Wildcats' 38-24 win over Oklahoma in the Alamo Bowl.

Despite starting this season ranked No. 21 in the AP Top 25 poll, Arizona quickly fell off en route to a 4-8 record. McMillan was a bright spot amid all of the struggles, racking up 1,319 yards and eight touchdowns in 12 games.

McMillan is one of three finalists for the Biletnikoff Award given to the nation's top receiver. He is competing against Hunter and San Jose State's Nick Nash. The winner will be announced on Thursday on the Home Depot College Football Awards show on ESPN.

Even if McMillan doesn't end up being selected in the top three because quarterback-needy teams at the top of the draft might prioritize that position, it shouldn't be long into the first round before he hears his name called based on his talent and production over three years at Arizona.
