Week 15 Fantasy Football Rankings: Top Players and Matchups for All Positions
Week 15 of the 2024 NFL season will kick off the playoffs for a number of fantasy football leagues.
If you don't put your best foot forward now, you might stumble out of the playoffs as soon as they start.
Let's help make sure that doesn't happen by laying out our rankings and spotlighting the player with the best matchup at the four skill positions.
Quarterback
1 of 4
Top 10
1. Lamar Jackson, BAL (at NYG)
2. Josh Allen, BUF (at DET)
3. Jalen Hurts, PHI (vs. PIT)
4. Jayden Daniels, WAS (at NO)
5. Joe Burrow, CIN (at TEN)
6. Tua Tagovailoa, MIA (at HOU)
7. Justin Herbert, LAC (vs. TB)
8. Bo Nix, DEN (vs. IND)
9. Sam Darnold, MIN (vs. CHI)
10. Brock Purdy, SF (vs. LAR)
Best matchup: Justin Herbert vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Chargers don't always let Herbert cook. He is only 16th in passing attempts on the season, which feels criminally low given his natural ability, improved decision-making (14 touchdowns against a single interception) and L.A.'s struggles to run the ball since J.K. Dobbins went down with a knee injury.
This feels like the perfect time for the Chargers to let Herbert dial it up. The Buccaneers are exploitable through the air, allowing more fantasy points to quarterbacks than anyone, per Yahoo. They are also capable of putting a bunch of points on the board on offense, meaning L.A. might have to let Herbert loose if it wants to keep up.
Running Back
2 of 4
Top 10
1. Saquon Barkley, PHI (vs. PIT)
2. Derrick Henry, BAL (at NYG)
3. Bijan Robinson, ATL (at LV)
4. Jahmyr Gibbs, DET (vs. BUF)
5. Joe Mixon, HOU (vs. MIA)
6. Josh Jacobs, GB (at SEA)
7. De'Von Achane, MIA (at HOU)
8. Chase Brown, CIN (at TEN)
9. Kyren Williams, LAR (at SF)
10. Tony Pollard, TEN (vs. CIN)
Best matchup: Jahmyr Gibbs vs. Buffalo Bills
Gibbs being stuck in a timeshare with David Montgomery means he isn't always guaranteed a big number of touches. As Gibbs has shown time and again, though, he doesn't need a ton of touches to put up big stat lines. On Thanksgiving, he turned 11 touches into 104 scrimmage yards. Two games before that, it was 123 scrimmage yards and a score on only 12 touches.
He doesn't need a great matchup to elevate his appeal, but he'll draw one this week anyway. Buffalo has allowed the third-most fantasy points to running backs and just let Kyren Williams pile up 97 scrimmage yards with a couple of scores.
Wide Receiver
3 of 4
Top 10
1. Ja'Marr Chase, CIN (at TEN)
2. Puka Nacua, LAR (at SF)
3. Amon-Ra St. Brown, DET (vs. BUF)
4. Justin Jefferson, MIN (vs. CHI)
5. Terry McLaurin, WAS (at NO)
6. Nico Collins, HOU (vs. MIA)
7. Tyreek Hill, MIA (at HOU)
8. A.J. Brown, PHI (vs. PIT)
9. Mike Evans, TB (at LAC)
10. Courtland Sutton, DEN (vs. IND)
Best matchup: Tyreek Hill at Houston Texans
The first half of Hill's season might've been full of frustration, but the Cheetah is naturally speeding toward the finish line. After tallying a single touchdown over his first eight outings, he has since found the end zone four different times in his last five contests.
He just delivered one of his best stat lines to date (10 receptions for 115 yards and a score), and he'll have every chance to keep the good times rolling against a Texans defense allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to wide receivers.
Tight End
4 of 4
Top 10
1. George Kittle, SF (vs. LAR)
2. Brock Bowers, LV (vs. ATL)
3. Travis Kelce, KC (at CLE)
4. Trey McBride, ARI (vs. NE)
5. David Njoku, CLE (vs. KC)
6. Sam LaPorta, DET (vs. BUF)
7. Jonnu Smith, MIA (at HOU)
8. Mark Andrews, BAL (at NYG)
9. T.J. Hockenson, MIN (vs. CHI)
10. Evan Engram, JAX (vs. NYJ)
Best matchup: David Njoku vs. Kansas City Chiefs
Volume can be hard to find for many tight ends, but not for Njoku. He has seen an almost unbelievable 30 targets over his past two tilts, and while those chances haven't amounted to a ton of yards (94), they have yielded 16 receptions and a trio of touchdowns.
If he sees anything near that type of volume, he'll have another strong effort against a Kansas City defense allowing the third-most fantasy points to the position.
