Kevon Seymour Commits to USC: How Many More Recruits Will the Trojans Land?

Originally I thought Kevon Seymour would hold off on announcing at the Army game, as I thought he'd want to come back home and think it over. Well, I was wrong, as Seymour has made his choice and announcement. 

The USC Trojans have won out for the DB and he is staying home in Los Angeles. Is that it for USC? Who else can the Trojans land? Any other news happening at Heritage Hall?

Who Is Kevon Seymour?

Seymour is a 6'0", 170-pound CB prospect from Pasadena, CA. The area sits about 15 minutes up the 110 freeway from USC's campus and Seymour has some baller tendencies.

He's speedy, quick and versatile. He's played QB, RB, WR, CB, FS and SS for his Muir (CA) high school team. Many feel that Seymour could end up as a CB or safety at USC.

He flashes great ball skills, range and his frame at 6'0", will add height and length to the Trojans' back end to combat big WRs in the Pac-12.

Who Were the Finalists?

Aside from USC, Seymour was down to Cal, Oregon and UCLA.

He tells Scout.com that he will not visit anywhere else and is done with his recruitment.

Cal has been gobbling up a ton of prospects that USC has been eyeing this cycle, so score this one for the Trojans. Oregon felt Seymour would add even more speed to their team and UCLA wanted him badly as well.

What's Next for the Trojans?

Well, USC also just got some bad news: Ellis McCarthy, the 5-star DT from LA, has just announced for Cal. The Trojans really were thought to be his leader, so that's a major disappointment.

However, USC is still hard after Andrus Peat, Stefon Diggs, Kyle Murphy, Nelson Agholor and Zach Banner. 

All are considered 5-star or top tier prospects by many various publications and all are seriously considering the Trojans.
