Penn State had an opportunity to tie the game with roughly two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, but an impressive interception by cornerback Nikko Reed sealed the victory for Oregon.

Dillon Gabriel spearheaded another strong offensive performance by the Ducks. Gabriel finished 22-of-32 for 283 yards and four touchdowns without an interception. He also picked up 17 yards on the ground.

Tez Johnson was his top target, hauling in 11 receptions for a season-high 181 yards to go along with a touchdown.

Oregon also benefitted from a commendable effort by junior running back Jordan James, who rushed for 87 yards and found the end zone twice.

Fans and pundits were impressed with Gabriel and the Ducks as they secured a Big Ten title in their first year as part of the conference.

The Nittany Lions weren't able to jump into the top spot in the CFP rankings, but they'll still be part of the playoff.

Drew Allar finished 20-of-39 for 226 yards and three touchdowns to go along with two interceptions.

Penn State rushed for 292 yards as a team, but couldn't hold up defensively throughout the duration of the contest.

As for the Ducks, they'll stay at No. 1 and receive a first-round bye.
