Despite strong performances from LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the Los Angeles Lakers fell to the Atlanta Hawks in overtime by the final score of 134-132 on Friday night.

Trae Young overcame an inconsistent shooting night to stuff the stat sheet, finishing with 31 points and 20 assists. While he shot just 9-25 from the field, he hit a three-pointer that gave the Hawks a two-point lead with eight seconds remaining in overtime.

James and Davis combined to score 77 of Los Angeles' 132 points, with both stars making their presence felt on the defensive end of the floor. This included a transition block by the NBA's all-time leading scorer that briefly preserved a one-point lead in overtime.

James recorded his seventh triple-double of the year, pulling down 10 rebounds and dishing out 11 assists to go along with his 39 points. He finished with three blocks and two steals, shooting 56 percent from the field.

As for Davis, he nearly ended the contest with a triple-double of his own. The 31-year-old scored 38 points, racking up 10 rebounds and eight assists despite turning the ball over six times.

Even though Los Angeles couldn't secure a win, fans were still impressed with the duo.

The Lakers suffered their third straight loss, falling to 12-11 on the season as a whole.

Meanwhile, Atlanta improved to 13-11.
