Lakers' LeBron James: 'I Just Feel Off Rhythm' amid Struggles in Loss to Wolves

Taylyn HadleyDec 3, 2024

After a disastrous performance on Monday night, where LeBron James managed just 10 points on 4-of-16 shooting, the Lakers star admitted he felt "off rhythm."

The Los Angeles Lakers suffered a blowout loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, 109-80, with James and Anthony Davis combining for only 22 points.

For the 39-year-old veteran, it wasn't just one issueโ€”everything seemed to go wrong.

"Everything โ€“ Just the rhythm. I Just feel off rhythm the last few, three, four games," James told reporters post-game.

James contributed eight rebounds, four assists and six turnovers in 31 minutes during the team's lackluster offensive showing.

Scoring just 10 points, Monday night marked LeBron James' lowest total of the season. The performance was highly uncharacteristic, as James has scored at least 10 points in 1,505 of his 1,513 career games, according to Real Sports.

When asked if he had reconsidered his goal of playing all 82 games this season for the sake of the team and himself, James avoided giving a direct answer.

"That's a goal, but we'll see. It's not something I'm discussing right now," James told reporters.

The 12-9 Lakers rank 14th in the league in points per game, averaging 114.0. James attributes there offensive struggles to the team's recent defensive focus where they currently rank 22nd in that category.

"We're just not good offensively right now," James told reporters. "I think we spent so much time on trying to get our defense corrected that our offense just took a toll and took a back seat to that."

James and the Lakers aim to bounce back on Wednesday when they visit Miami to face the Heat.
