Bowl Predictions 2024: Playoff Odds and Bracket Projections Heading into Week 15
The first-ever 12-team College Football Playoff field still isn't cemented.
It is, however, closer to being set in stone than it has at any point this season,
While conference championships could change the teams and seeds yet again, our crystal ball has a pretty good idea of how the playoff field will take shape. We'll dig into our projected bracket after laying out the latest national championship odds from DraftKings Sportsbook.

Rivalry games are always tricky, but the selection committee won't completely excuse Ohio State's loss to unranked, five-loss Michigan on Saturday.
The Buckeyes aren't in danger of losing their at-large spot or anything, but that contest could be the difference in hosting or traveling in the first round. Things could still break away Ohio State's way, though, depending on how Penn State and Georgia fare in their respective conference championships.
Speaking of conference title games, the upcoming clash between Arizona State and Iowa State will settle one of these spots. They hold identical 10-2 records on the season and each went 7-2 in the Big 12. In fact, they're so closely bunched that their season-long scoring differentials are just one point apart (plus-76 for the Sun Devils, plus-75 for the Cyclones).
The winner of that championship clash should be in the field. Our projections predict an Arizona State victory, but that's a total coin flip.
Finally, the 12th spot is sure to generate controversy, and that's true regardless which direction the committee heads. Miami and South Carolina fans will be especially heated about Alabama getting the nod here.
However, the Hurricanes didn't face a ranked opponent all season, meaning they have zero top-25 wins and two losses to unranked teams. The Crimson Tide may have lost to a pair on ranked teams, too, but they also knocked off three top-25 teams, including then-second-ranked Georgia. The Gamecocks, meanwhile, only lost to top-20 teams, but since one of those was Alabama, it'll be tough for South Carolina to win a head-to-head argument.
