Eagles' Saquon Barkley Headlines Madden 25 NFL Player Ratings Update After Week 12
Several star running backs received a ratings bump in Madden NFL 25 this week, including Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley.
After rushing for 255 yards and two touchdowns in a 37-20 win over the Los Angeles Rams last week, EA Sports upped Barkley's overall rating from 96 to 97.

Other ratings increases include Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs from 91 to 92, Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs from 89 to 90, Tennessee Titans running back Tony Pollard from 88 to 89 and Minnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones from 87 to 88.
After spending his first six NFL seasons with the New York Giants, Barkley signed a three-year, $37.75 million contract with the Eagles this past offseason.
Given that Miles Sanders and D'Andre Swift enjoyed career years with the Eagles in recent seasons, Barkley was viewed as a perfect fit, but he has somehow still managed to exceed expectations.
Through 11 games this season, Barkley leads the NFL with 1,392 rushing yards on 223 carries. He has also scored 10 rushing touchdowns and caught 27 passes for 257 yards and two scores.
Barkley is a big reason why the Eagles are tied for the second-best record in the NFC at 9-2 and look like a Super Bowl contender once again after a late-season collapse in 2023 resulted in an NFL Wild Card Round exit.
While Barkley is on the rise in both real life and Madden, San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey saw his rating take a tumble this week.
McCaffrey was part of the exclusive "99 Club" when Madden 25 launched, but his rating plummeted from 99 to 96 in the latest update.
Last season, McCaffrey was a Pro Bowler and first-team All-Pro, plus he won the NFL Offensive Player of the Year Award after rushing for 1,459 yards and 14 touchdowns, and catching 67 passes for 564 yards and another seven scores.
An Achilles injury landed McCaffrey on injured reserve early this season, and he went on to miss the Niners' first eight games.
McCaffrey has returned to play in the 49ers' past three games, but he is still finding his footing, as he has rushed for 149 yards and made 13 grabs for 132 yards, and has yet to score a touchdown.
With McCaffrey dropping to a 96, the only players in Madden 25 with a 99 rating currently are Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and 49ers offensive tackle Trent Williams.
