Report: Texas' Quinn Ewers to Start amid Injury; Arch Manning Could Make 'Cameo'

Mike ChiariNov 30, 2024

Quarterback Quinn Ewers is reportedly expected to start for the No. 3 Texas Longhorns in their road game against the No. 20 Texas A&M Aggies on Saturday night.

According to ESPN's Pete Thamel, Ewers is "unlikely to be 100 percent" after suffering a high ankle sprain in last week's win over Kentucky, but he has been "rehabbing feverishly" and is listed as probable to play Saturday.

However, since Ewers' mobility figures to be compromised by the injury, Thamel noted that Longhorns backup Arch Manning could "make some cameo appearances" during the game against Texas A&M.
