Video: Brett Favre 'Shocked' by Aaron Rodgers, Jets; Defends QB amid NFL Rumors
Pro Football Hall of Famer Brett Favre has been surprised by the struggles of the New York Jets as well as former teammate Aaron Rodgers during the 2024 season.
"I have to admit, I'm as shocked as anyone because I was singing the praises of the team and, of course, Aaron," Favre said, via TMZ Sports (0:20 mark).

The Athletic's Dianna Russini previously reported that there is "no guarantee" that Rodgers returns to the Jets in 2025, although Favre wasn't convinced that he'd end his career in New York on a low note.
"I just find it hard to believe that a competitor of the magnitude that Aaron has been over the years would go out that way if it ended today," Favre said, per TMZ.
After a 2-1 start to the season, the Jets would go on to lose seven of their next eight contests and currently sit at 3-8.
Rodgers has completed 63.4 percent of his throws for 2,442 yards and 17 touchdowns to go along with seven interceptions in 11 appearances. He's currently averaging 6.4 yards per attempt, the lowest mark of his career as a starter.
The Jets also own the NFL's sixth-worst scoring offense.
Favre followed a similar career path compared to Rodgers, playing with the Jets for one season after spending 16 years with the Green Bay Packers. He led New York to a 9-7 record in 2008 and earned a Pro Bowl nod before joining the Minnesota Vikings.
As for the present-day Jets, a Hall of Fame passer has been among those confused by the team's disappointing season.
