College Football Picks Week 14: Top 25 Odds, Box Score Prediction, Rankings, Schedule

The much-anticipated return of the Texas-Texas A&M rivalry comes with elevated stakes on Saturday night.

The winner between the Longhorns and Aggies advances to play the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC Championship Game.

Texas entered the 2024 season with much loftier expectations than its long-time rival, but the Aggies have been a top-15 team for most of the campaign.

They are coming off a loss to the Auburn Tigers in Week 13 that soured their season a bit, but if the Aggies can bounce back with a win, they will head to Atlanta in Mike Elko's first season as head coach.

There's one other rivalry game that features two Top 25 teams in Week 14, and it's not one you'd guess right away.

The South Carolina Gamecocks and Clemson Tigers both enter Saturday with two losses and a bleak shot at the College Football Playoff.

Each team plays solid defense, so the SEC-versus-ACC clash could come down to one or two plays.

Texas and Texas A&M will play for the first time since 2011 in College Station on Saturday.

Texas owns a 76-37-5 record in the rivalry, but A&M won three of the last six meetings before the matchup was disbanded due to conference realignment.

Texas is the higher-ranked team, the favorite and the squad with national title expectations, but quarterback Quinn Ewers is dealing with an ankle injury.

Ewers' status will be updated throughout the week, but if he is hampered by the injury at all, it may not bode well for the Longhorns.

Whomever starts at quarterback for Texas should have the better opportunities to score on Saturday.

Texas held nine of its 11 opponents under 20 points and it only allowed five touchdowns in the last three weeks.

A&M's recent games have been a bit more chaotic, as it allowed over 40 points to Auburn and South Carolina.

Even if Ewers is not at 100 percent, Texas can hang its hat on the defensive production and that should be the difference-maker to clinch a spot in the SEC Championship Game alongside the Georgia Bulldogs.

South Carolina is playing some of the most underrated football in the FBS right now.

However, the Gamecocks run into a Clemson team that has historically dominated them and has an outside chance to land an at-large spot in the CFP thanks to Week 13's chaos.

Clemson is 8-1 in the last nine rivalry games with South Carolina, and it scored over 30 points in seven of those eight victories.

South Carolina has had some trouble dealing with Top 25 offenses this season. The Gamecocks allowed at least 20 points in their five ranked matchups in SEC play.

Shane Beamer's side is on a five-game winning streak, but it struggled to pull away from teams in the upper echelon of the SEC earlier in the season.

Clemson hasn't scored under 24 points in a victory this season, and if that scoring trend keeps up, the Tigers will win and hope more teams in the top 12 lose so it can sneak into the 12-team playoff.
