Tyreek Hill: 'I Do Not Literally Care' About Fantasy Football, Gambling Complaints

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill isn't interested in hearing from fans complaining about his performance in regards to sports bets and fantasy football.

"It's like I can't even enjoy a night out with my wife and my kids," Hill said, per Joe Schad of the Palm Beach Post. "Somebody's always walking up to me and is like, 'I drafted you number one and you've been having the worst fantasy football season of your career.' And it's like, bro, I do not literally care."

The eight-time Pro Bowl receiver certainly made fantasy managers happy in 2023, as he led the NFL with 1,799 receiving yards and 13 touchdown catches.

Hill explained that he isn't focused on his individual production and cares about Miami's record, though.

"We don't really care about none of that, dawg," Hill said, via Schad. "As long as we're winning. I feel like a lot of people get football mixed up. With stats. And worrying about where a guy's going. Instead of worrying about the win-loss column."

"A lot of people have taken the game that I grew up loving so much and turned it into betting and turned it into fantasy numbers and stuff like that," he added.

Hill has suited up in all 10 games for the Dolphins this season, but his performances throughout the year have fluctuated while starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa missed four contests due to a concussion.

He's averaging just 52.3 receiving yards per game in 2024, the lowest mark since his 2016 campaign as a rookie. Hill has also found the end zone a mere three times and will need to improve in order to surpass six scores, the current lowest single-season total of his career.

The 30-year-old has been dealing with a wrist injury that he suffered in training camp, revealing on Nov. 14 that he considered surgery but decided to play through it (via ESPN's Marcel Louis-Jacques).

Hill previously encouraged managers to start him in fantasy after Tagovailoa returned to practice on Oct. 23, but it appears as though his mindset has changed.

While he may not have fantasy managers in mind, Hill will still attempt to close out the season strong and help the Dolphins improve upon their 4-6 record beginning with an AFC East battle against the New England Patriots on Sunday.
