Andrew PetersNov 21, 2024

Another week of the NFL season in the books means new updates for player ratings in Madden 25.

This week saw a pair of star players' ratings take a hit.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes dropped from a 99 overall to a 97 overall after throwing for 196 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions in the Chiefs' first loss of the season against the Buffalo Bills.

Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker, who has had an uncharacteristically rough start to the season, missed a pair of field goals on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Tucker had the highest career field goal percentage before the misses but now sits behind Eddy Pineiro of the Carolina Panthers.

For his struggles in Sunday's loss, Tucker dropped from an 85 overall to an 81 overall.

In terms of players whose ratings got a boost, a pair of Detroit Lions stars highlighted the list. Wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown moved one point up to a 96 while running back Jahmyr Gibbs went from an 87 to 89.

St. Brown went off for 161 receiving yards and two touchdowns on Sunday while Gibbs had 69 rushing yards and a touchdown.

Another offensive duo also got a ratings boost after Week 11. Wide receivers Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua of the Los Angeles Rams each increased one point this week—Kupp going to a 90 and Nacua going to an 85.

Nacua had 123 receiving yards and a touchdown while Kupp had 106 yards and a touchdown.

Philadelphia Eagles standout running back Saquon Barkley continued his outstanding season this week, rushing for 146 yards and a pair of touchdowns against the Commanders. His rating moved from a 95 to a 96.

On the defensive side, Miami Dolphins safety Jalen Ramsey bumped up to a 96 after logging five tackles and an interception. Cleveland Browns cornerback Denzel Ward moved up to a 92 after an interception and a forced fumble on Sunday.

The players whose ratings dropped this week will be looking to come back strong in Week 12 and the players who got an increase this week will look to continue doing what they're doing.
