Dallas Cowboys Are Only Major American Men's Pro Sports Team Without Home Win in 2024

Andrew PetersNov 19, 2024

No matter how much a professional sports team struggles in a given year, winning at home is always much easier than doing so on the road. The Dallas Cowboys have been the exception to that rule in 2024.

The Cowboys are the only men's American professional sports team without a win at home in 2024. Every team in the NBA, MLB, NHL, MLS and NFL has picked up at least one win at home this year.

Dallas' only four wins since January have come on the road.

The last time Dallas won at home was Dec. 30, 2023, against the Detroit Lions in its second-to-last game of the 2023 season. Things were much different for the Cowboys then as they were 11-5 and gearing up for the playoffs.

Now, Dallas sits at 3-7 on the year amid what has been a disastrous season.

The Cowboys started the year 3-2 but have lost five straight, most recently a 34-10 blundering against the Houston Texans on Monday. Adding to their struggles, the Cowboys lost star quarterback Dak Prescott in November after he underwent season-ending surgery for a hamstring injury.

With no Prescott, Dallas has looked to backup Cooper Rush over the last two games, but he has found little success thus far as the Cowboys have mustered just 16 points across their last two matchups.

After facing the Washington Commanders on the road this week, the Cowboys will have a chance to finally pick up a win at home against the New York Giants in their final game over November.

Dallas can only hope the sun beaming into AT&T Stadium and sheet metal falling from the roof won't be too much of a factor.
