Luka Dončić, Mavs Dominate Spurs with Victor Wembanyama Out, Fans Applaud Needed Win

Luka Dončić and the Dallas Mavericks snapped their four-game losing streak, defeating the Victor Wembanyama-less San Antonio Spurs 110-93 on Saturday.

Dončić and the Mavericks have had a surprisingly rough start to the season, despite the addition of former Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson, they hold a 6-7 record after their win on Saturday.

Fans were thrilled to see a Mavs win, no matter who the opponent was.

Three players played a key role in the Mavericks' victory, with Dončić finishing with 16 points, six rebounds and six assists. Thompson recorded nine points and Kyrie Irving added 22 points and six assists.

On the other side of the court, Zach Collins stepped up in place of the missing Wembanyama, posting 20 points and six rebounds.

The two teams faced off once already this season on opening night, where the Mavericks defeated the Spurs 120-109 and Doncic put up 20 points with eight assists.

As the Mavericks continue to fit its new pieces together, fans took to social media to praise the Mavericks as they pull off a much needed win.

The Mavericks will play their second night of its back-to-back tomorrow against the Oklahoma City Thunder on the road.
