Mike Tyson Guarantees Victory in Boxing Fight vs. Jake Paul: 'I Am Not Going to Lose'

Boxing icon Mike Tyson isn't letting the thought of losing to Jake Paul in Friday's fight on Netflix even cross his mind.

During Wednesday's press conference at Toyota Music Factory in Irving, Texas, Tyson was asked about the possibility of losing to Paul in Friday's main event and he quickly cut off the person asking the question, declaring, "I'm not gonna lose." When the person reiterated the question, he emphatically said, "I'm not gonna lose. Did you hear what I said?"

Tyson was not in a speaking mood during Wednesday's press conference. He displayed a quiet intensity and didn't answer many questions, simply saying, "I'm ready to fight."

The former heavyweight champion will be fighting for the first time since his exhibition against Roy Jones Jr. in November 2020 that ended in a draw. At 58 years old, Tyson is 31 years older than the 27-year-old YouTuber, who has a professional record of 10-1 with seven knockouts.

Despite the age gap, Tyson has expressed confidence in his ability to turn back the clock when he enters the ring on Friday. He has posted social media videos showing off his training progress, giving fans fuel to believe that he will surprise Paul when they face off.

The fight between Tyson and Paul will be the first combat sports event to be streamed live on Netflix, and it's expected to draw one of the largest boxing audiences in the past few years.
