Thunder Unveil 2024-25 NBA City Edition Uniforms in New Photos; Debut Date Revealed

The Oklahoma City Thunder are one of the hottest teams in the NBA at 9-2, and they gave fans another reason to be excited on Tuesday.

The Thunder unveiled their City Edition uniforms for the 2024-25 season and announced that they will wear them for the first time on Sunday when they face the Dallas Mavericks.

According to a press release, the design of the Thunder's City Edition uniforms "completes a two-year story arc reflecting Oklahoma City's evolving landscape, growth, and momentum."

"The 24-25 City Edition Uniform is an expression of Oklahoma City's progression and unique cultural renaissance stemming from the optimism inherent in Oklahoma's people and heritage," Brian Byrnes, Thunder senior vice president of Business Operations, said in the release. "It pays tribute to the innovators that have shaped Oklahoma's culture and are pushing it forward."

The Oklahoma lettering on the front of the jersey is meant to be a statement of unity, as it will mark just the second Thunder uniform in team history to feature the state's name at the center. The belt line also includes an outline of Oklahoma state.

In addition to the uniform, the Thunder will have a City Edition court for the City Nights games. Each Sunday home game will be dubbed City Nights games going forward after the team's matchup against Dallas this week.

The Thunder, who started the season 7-0, continued their strong start with a 134-128 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday night. Star point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored a career-high 45 points to spearhead the victory.

Oklahoma City will be back in action on Wednesday in a home matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans (3-8).
