Lions' James Houston Says Gatorade Caused Pants Stain, Denies Having Accident

Andrew PetersNov 11, 2024

James Houston cleared up some major questions fans had after the Detroit Lions beat the Houston Texans on Sunday.

The Lions linebacker, who had a stain in an unfortunate area on the back of his pants during the contest, clarified that he "sat on some Gatorade" rather than what some fans assumed happened.

It might have been embarrassing for Houston to go on social media after the game to find that the stain had prompted some unfortunate rumors, but he quickly put them to bed and seems to have a good attitude about the situation.

While his play on the field might not have been the biggest storyline from the night amid the situation with his pants, Houston had one of his best games of the season against the Texans. He recorded his first sack of the year in the 26-23 comeback win and is looking to build off the game as he continues to play in a backup role on the defense.

Detroit shook off five interceptions from quarterback Jared Goff to score 19 unanswered points in the second half and win on a walk-off field goal. The Lions improved to 8-1 with the win and will continue their push toward a Super Bowl next week against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
