Zach BacharNov 10, 2024

Fourth-quarter heroics from the Pittsburgh Steelers' offense helped the team secure a 28-27 win over the Washington Commanders on Sunday.

Russell Wilson wasn't flawless against the Commanders' secondary, but he still looked comfortable under center in his third straight start. Wilson finished 14-of-28 for 195 yards and three touchdowns to go along with an interception.

The Steelers have now emerged victorious in all three of his starts, averaging 30.3 points per game.

Mike Williams made his first appearance for Pittsburgh after he was acquired in a deal with the New York Jets prior to the trade deadline. He was limited to just one catch, but his lone grab helped the Steelers come back to win.

With Pittsburgh trailing by six points and just over two minutes left in the fourth quarter, Wilson connected with Williams on a 32-yard touchdown.

The Commanders couldn't score on their ensuing drive, leading to the Steelers running out the clock due to a costly neutral zone infraction penalty.

Fans and pundits were amazed by Wilson and Williams.

Jayden Daniels finished 17-of-34 for 202 yards without recording a touchdown or an interception as Washington struggled to finish drives against Pittsburgh's defense.

The Steelers moved back into first place in the AFC North with a 7-2 record, while the Commanders fell to 7-3.
