Roger Goodell: NFL Fans Should 'Believe' Rumors of Berlin Game on 2025 Schedule
Ahead of the New York Giants' matchup with the Carolina Panthers in Munich on Sunday, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell indicated that more games could be coming to Germany in 2025.
Per The Athletic's Lauren Merola, Goodell, who said last November that Berlin has "a lot of interest" in hosting a game, told fans to believe rumors about a game coming to the capital city.
"I usually say don't believe rumors," Goodell said. "In this case, I say believe them."

Sunday's game in Munich will be the fourth played in Germany and the second played in Munich. The other two games were in Frankfurt last season. The games in Germany have been successful so far, with the first in Munich generating 70.2 million euros for the City of Munich, according to the NFL.
This year's matchup at Allianz Arena is a sell-out with 70,000 fans set to attend on Sunday.
Goodell said that while nothing is set in stone, the league is "working on" getting a game to Berlin. He also said a game in Berlin wouldn't mean the end of games in Frankfurt and Munich.
"We're working on it, but it isn't finalized," Goodell said, per the Associated Press' James Ellingworth. "We really feel like Berlin would be a great addition, so we're looking very hard at that. Our people have been working very hard at it. But I want to add that does not mean we're not going to be back in Frankfurt and Munich."
Sunday's matchup in Munich will be the last of five international games played this season. The first was a matchup between the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil and the league played three games in London in October.
The 2025 International Series schedule has not yet been set, but the league has already confirmed one game will be played in Madrid, Spain, next season. Goodell said on The Pat McAfee Show (h/t CBS Sports' John Breech) in September that he hopes to have seven international games next season with a potential return to Mexico and Brazil. His comments on Saturday seem to indicate there will be American football played in Berlin as well.
